Spider Designs Access Solutions for AEP Cardinal Station

Spider recently designed customized access solutions for contractor Cannon Sline Inc. enabling them to inspect, repair, and coat the entire interior surface (200 ft in diameter and 424 ft in height) of the AEP Cardinal Station Unit 3 Cooling Tower in Brilliant, Ohio. Working on an 11 week outage schedule, Cannon Sline tapped Spider to develop an access solution for the inspection repair and coating of the entire interior surface of the 200 ft diameter, 425 ft cooling tower. With custom rigging solutions and platforms to work on the sloped surface mounted around existing lightning protection, Spider provided rental equipment for much of the project and executed the design, manufacturing and delivery onsite in just five weeks.
